A few thoughts on opening night in the NBA.

The Celtics vs Cavs was a great game to start the season. After being down big early the Celtics rallied back but came up short at the end. A few quick thoughts:

Prayers to Gordon Hayward for a speedy and full recovery.

LeBron James is STILL a force of nature. Can we please check this dude’s DNA for mutant characteristics.

Jaylen Brown and rookie Jayson Tatum together can help Boston overcome the loss of Gordon Hayward. I don’t think they can unseat the Cavs without Gordon but all is not lost.

They made it work last night mainly with Love at the 5 but the Cavs have crappy spacing with D-Wade and D-Rose on the floor at the same time.

Not to be outdone the Rockets and Warriors treated the fans at Oracle to another thriller. A few quick thoughts.

Eric Gordon was a man on a mission last night. He was aggressive all night and attacked poor Jordan Bell on every switch.

Nick Young shined in his Warriors debut going 8/9 from the field for 23 points.

The Warriors looked great to start the game but their 17 turnovers 8 by Kevin Durant cost them a win on opening night.

Who replaces Draymond Green if he has to be out awhile? Their lineup of Death isn’t the same without Draymond anchoring the defense.
